Get away son, this ain't your fight.
It really doesn't matter now who's wrong and who's right.
Take ten paces, turn and shoot.
It's the only way to end this dispute.
Get away son
Get away, get away, get away, get away now
Get away son
Cause you can't be my second
Shots are fired, and it seems I'm hit.
Don't cry for me boy, I can hardly feel it.
Get away son, but first promise me this.
Take care of your mother now, and give her this kiss
Get away son
Get away, get away, get away, get away now
Get away son
Cause you can't be my second
Would you be my (second)

My best friend's a queer, best friend of the year.
But Daddy doesn't like it, Mommies alright with it
Daddy doesn't like it, Mommies alright with it
Daddy doesn't like it, Mommies alright with it
Daddy doesn't like it.
My best friend is gay (He's gay) and Dad says that's okay (That's okay son)
My best friend's a fag, I love to wave his flag.
But Mommy doesn't like it, Daddy's just fine with it
Mommy doesn't like it, Daddy's just fine with it.
Mommy doesn't like it, Daddy's just fine with it.
Mommy doesn't like it.
My best friend is gay (He's gay) and Mom says that's okay

Get Clean
02:47
|
|
||
Girl, I wish we were into hard drugs.
I wish we were into hard drugs.
So we could get clean together.
So we could get clean.
Oh, girl, I wish we were into hard shit,
Cause you know I'd see you through it.
And we could get clean.
Yeah we could get clean.
Girl, I wish we were into hard drugs.
I wish we were into hard drugs.
So we could get clean together.
So we could get clean.
Oh, girl, I wish we were into hard shit,
Cause you know I'd see you through it.
And we could get clean.
Yeah we could get clean.
Oh, girl, I wish you were made of hard drugs.
I said I wished you were made of hard drugs.
I'd put you in my spoon.
And we'd dance under the moon.
Oh, Lord, I'm so sick and tired of my lonely life.
And you know I'd take her for a wife.
If I could get clean.
If I could just get clean.
Girl, I wish we were into hard drugs.
I wish we were into hard drugs.
So we could get clean together.
So we could get clean.
Oh, girl, I wish we were into hard shit,
Cause you know I'd see you through it.
And we could get clean.
Yeah we could get clean.
Yeah we could get, we could get.

Rudie A Message To You
02:15
|
|
||
Stop your messing around
Better think of your future
Time you straighten right out
Causing trouble 'round town
A message to you Rudy
Stop your fooling around
Better think of your future
Stop all that good damn fooling around
Before you wind up in jail
A message to you Rudy
Stop your messing around
Better think of your future
Time you straighten right out
Causing trouble 'round town
A message to you Rudy

Lester

When Lester was 8 years old
His parents thought him much too bold
He built and 8 foot mattress pile
Seafaring ship to sail down the Nile
But he was from...
MISSISSIPPI!
Yeah he was from...
MISSISSIPPI!
He was from...
MISSISSIPPI!
And thats a long way away...
From the Nile.
5 years later on
His teachers said that boy is dumb
He prayed for hope by the side of his bed
And got a hurricane instead
Cause he was from...
MISSISSIPPI!
Yeah he was from
MISSISSIPPI!
He was from
MISSISSIPPI!
And thats a long way away...
From the Nile.
And its alright,
Its alright your wrong.
It's alright.

Mulberry Hill

Let them say what they will,
I was born on Mulberry Hill.
Let them play where they please,
I have played under these chestnut trees.
There's a boy down the road,
That we buried at Midanao
Let them play.
On a train half way home,
I have never felt so alone.
Met by father, "How is ma."
Gored by silence driving home in the car.
Let them say what they will,
I was born on Bunker Hill.
Let them pray where they please,
By the fires of these kamikazes.
Hiroshima, mon amour,
Now she's running for the door.
Oh, McArthur, tell me why,
You should live while they should die!
Let them play.
Let them say what they will,
I was raised not to kill.
Let them go where they please,
Now we've got them on there knees.
There's a boy down the road,
That we buried at Midanao.

How many time must we win the war.
Seems like we fought it seven times before.
Elevators take you into the sky.
You can call it a lift long as it gets me high.
And that's alright.
Do it every night.
Charles Manson had it right.
Murdering babies in the night.
If you murder babies in the day.
They lock you up and throw the key away.
And that's okay.
They do it every day.
Come on river, just go with the flow.
Bring pout the freaks and get on with the show.
Like a potted plant with no place to go.
Out of the sidewalk you begin to grow.
And that's just fine.
I do it all the time.
Peaceful manger, violent breeze.
Babies choking on a new disease.
Is anyone listening? Send your blue helmets please!
Cause surplus bullets make for poor vaccines.
And that's just mean.
Make it cheap and clean.

Katie Wins
02:28

|

Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
Yeah, Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
I can't compete, knocked out in my first heat
I just can't win. They tell me that it's a sin
And Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
Yeah, Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
I can't control these feelings that wash over me
I fall from grace, only to save a little face, her pretty face
And Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
Yeah, Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her
Yeah, Katie wins 'cause I ripped it off of her

I want you to leave
I want you to leave
I want you to leave me alone
I want you to leave
I want you to leave
I want you to leave me alone
Tuesday I'm crying out
Wednesday I'm looking down
Thursday I'm turning round
Friday I'm feeling proud
Saturday
Saturday
and I want you to leave
I want you to leave
I want you to leave me alone
I want you to leave
I want you to leave
I want you to leave me alone
Tuesday I'm crying out
Wednesday I'm looking down
Thursday I'm turning round
Friday I'm feeling proud
Saturday
Saturday
and I want you to leave
I want you to leave
I want you to leave me alone
I want you to leave
I want you to leave
I want you to leave me alone

Well, he knows what day it is.
And he punched my face again.
He just can't wait.
No he just can't wait.
I know hes waitin!
And I know hes great in!
I know hes waitin!
And I know hes great.
He gets real mad at times. (Some of the time...)
But I so glad hes mine.
He Risked it all, (He risked it all...)
And they watched him fall! (they watched him!)
I hope that hes OK.
And I hope that he will play.
I hope that hes OK!
And I hope that he will play.
Bridge:
He kept me waitin on the phone...
He left me standing all alone...
And I'm sorry for what I did.
But ya know I was just a kid.
Well he held my hand, (He held my hand...)
And I held his hand! ( I held his!)
I know that hes OK.
I know that hes OK.
I know that hes OK!
I know that hes OK!
OK!

When I Go Home
02:43
|
|
||
When we first met you asked me for a light, but I don't smoke cigarettes. When I asked you out you said "I'll think about it". When we cross paths I put my foot in my mouth and my head up my ass. When I go home, I think about you.
But I'm so excited, I'm so excited.
I'm so excited about tomorrow.
When we're done with school, I'm waiting outside I guess i look like a fool. When I follow you home I think about us. When I go home I take off my clothes and i write on my wall. When it's a quarter to three I fall asleep.
But I'm so excited, I'm so excited.
I'm so excited about tomorrow.
It'll be six more weeks, three more days and five more hours before you catch that plane. I've got to get a job, clean clothes, and records to play. Kobe's good, Shaq attack, but I want Jordon back. English class I misspoke and followed you home in the rain. You hug him, shake my hand, that's fine by me, I hate your band. That's just fine 'nother time, so they say, all the way. I thought I was tough 'till I fought, so I'm not. That really hit the spot.
When I go home.

The Fall

I've given it some serious consideration and I've decided to let you fall.
I've given it some serious consideration and I've decided to let you fall.
So close to the edge now, no hesitation, and I swear I won't let you go.
So close to the edge now, no hesitation, and I swear I won't let you go.
You were not honest to me all those years ago.
thought I forgiven you and just let it go.
but I've been planning for some time now,
and I'm afraid I'm going to have to let you down.
I've given it some serious consideration and I've decided to let you fall.
I've given it some serious consideration and I've decided to let you fall.
I've given it some serious consideration and I've decided to let you fall.

I started playing when I was just a kid.
I guess I just never got tired of it.
You know I started a band,
When they were playing in sand.
We got a van and we toured the world.
Until our lead guitarist met a girl.
She started writing lyrics.
He's hypnotized by her tits.
Our second album just wasn't so good.
We said the critics must have misunderstood.
Sold to advertisements. (advertise men.)
And lost the faith of the kids.
But we kept writing on everyday.
Until the drugs, well they got in the way.
Our drummer ODed on smack.
We took our old drummer back.
Lead guitarist went to do solo work.
We said "Good riddance. That kid was a jerk."
We still play under the name.
But it just isn't the same.
They did our story on VH1.
All in all I guess we had a good run.
Reunion tour would be lame.
Unless we get Hall of Fame.
